Villas-Boas Support Manchester United to defeat Chelsea

Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham manager, Andre Villas-Boas hopes Manchester United can beat Chelsea at Old Trafford on Premier League matchday 36th.

AVB statement is indeed a pure psy-war. Intense competition in order to get a ticket to the Champions League was the motivation behind it. Spurs are now in fifth place, two points behind from local rival; Arsenal. However, Tottenham have fewer matches than the Gunners.

Therefore Villas-Boas asked Sir Alex Ferguson's troops to overcome Chelsea at the weekend, in order to drive Spurs to the Champions League.

"The players (ManUtd) has felt the championship title, they certainly have a good mentality, and want to win every game remaining. So I hope Chelsea will have a very tough match," said AVB as reported by ESPN.

"Previously I have experienced this situation when I'm in Porto. When we won the Portuguese League with five games remaining and put up new targets to keep winning until the end of the season," he concluded.

Waiting for a Promising Deal From Russia, Nani Rejects PSG

Luis Nani

Manchester United winger, Nani reportedly already rejected an offer from Paris Saint-Germain to have a more lucrative proposal from Russia.

Mercato365 said the Portuguese player has contacted the Les Parisiens last week. Nani and his agent said PSG have to compete with the two giants of Russia, Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St Petersburg.

With financial support from a consortium of Qatar, PSG reportedly ready to double the salaries of Nani at Old Trafford which amounted to 70,000 pounds per week so that he would move to the Parc des Princes.

But Nani reportedly wouldn't go for it and awaits the offer from Anzhi and Zenit that are believed to be willing to spend more money for him than PSG.

Ronaldo Could Chose United Rather Than PSG

Cristiano Ronaldo & Sir Alex Ferguson

Who says money can buy everything? Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to prove it with a preferred return to Manchester United than the rich club Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ligue 1 giants were reported to have contacted Real Madrid and ask 'substantial offer' to bring Portugal's captain to the Parc des Princes.

However, The Sun claimed that Ronaldo will decide his future not only because of the financial aspect. And if he does leave the Bernabeu this summer, is believed to be his preferred destination is Old Trafford.

Ronaldo has not agreed a contract extension proposed Los Blancos. With two years left, he reportedly was willing to spend his contract and swing on a free transfer. Madrid just did not want it and are ready to release him, remembering that Ronaldo's pricetag may decrease year after year.

Marchisio to Manchester United?

Claudio Marchisio

Yesterday Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that he had pocketed some name players he wants to bring to Old Trafford.

And reportedly one of the player who Fergie want to buy in the transfer market next summer is Juventus midfielder, Claudio Marchisio.

This news was brought by the Italian media, Sport Mediaset. Juve appoint they'll called Paul Pogba as the player who will take the spot that will be left by Marchisio.

Red Devil himself was not the first time trying to bring Marchisio. At the past, this 27 years old player who came from the training academy of Juventus also has been negotiated by Manchester United.

Based on observation of current market prices estimated Bianconeri player's numbered 8 in the range of 30 million to 27 million. But based on my opinion, as Scholes and Giggs will be retiring next season, Marchisio will be a great replacement. Will we see him at the Theatre of Dreams? Let's wait and see.

Get Well Soon, Fletchie!

Darren Fletcher

Darren Fletcher has played his last game for Manchester United, according to Old Trafford legend Paddy Crerand.
Fletcher has not played for United since December, when he was forced to miss the rest of the season for the second year running due to his ongoing ulcerative colitis condition.
Although Fletcher returned for a brief spell with United following his diagnosis, Crerand painted a bleak picture for the midfielder in terms of the 29-year-old playing again.
Fletcher made 10 appearances for United in all competitions this season, the last of which came in their 4-3 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford on Boxing Day.
"I love Darren Fletcher and I hate to say this, but I wouldn't expect to see him playing again for Manchester United.
"It's a dreadful thing to say and I hope I'm totally wrong, but I don't think I'm going to be wrong.
"He's not been heard of, he's not played anywhere, he's not done anything and I think it would be a miracle if he did come back.
Crerand, a member of United's 1968 European Cup-winning side, was speaking to beyondthepitch.net and added: "It's a shame for the lad. If you're doing something you love doing, it's heartbreaking.
"For somebody for whom fitness has been the main thing in their life, because to be a professional footballer you have to be immensely fit, more so than most sports.
"I think, outside of boxing it's the fittest sport of the lot of them.
"So for not to be able to do that and keep yourself. Even at my age, how stupid I am, I'm in the gym every day."

Even though he said that, i'll keep believing that he would play for Manchester United again. As he's still 29 years old and there's still a plenty of time for him to please Sir Alex, Giggs and Scholes will also came to their retirement. So yes, there's still a time left for him. Have a time to rest Fletchie!
